USA kits 2015.

The USA soccer away and alternate kits have been released by nike. I'm not sure how I feel about them yet, but I can at least say that I'm happy they're branching out and trying new things with them. Last year's world cup kits and this year's international kits are far different than they have been in previous years and I dig that. Take a look and tell us what you think.

and the alternate kit:

Now if only we could ditch that terrible U.S. soccer crest for something that looks like an adult would wear it as opposed to a 7 year old.

USA hits the ice.

Chances are, if you're reading this, you love America. Sweet me too. Glad we're on the same page. Now I'm going to assume that since you love America (North America, that is) so much, you've probably been watching some of the Olympics. If that's the case, please tell me you've been following the men's hockey team. They're playing, easily, the best hockey in the Olympics right now. And while I'll be the first one to admit that The Canadian team is obviously the better team, USA is killing it.

Now you might be saying 'hey james, why in the world are you talking about men's olympic hockey on dripcult?' To you I say, 'first of all, how bout you settle down. Second of all, why don't you let me decide what i talk about on dripcult. and thirdly, have you seen the men's olympic hockey jerseys?!?

Get real. These are the coolest hockey jerseys I've ever seen. Not only do they scream 'murrika', but they're just down right cool. The hidden embroidered lines from the national anthem, the monochromatic stars, the American flag crest. unreal.

Even if we don't win the gold (we're going to win gold), we should get a medal for looking this good.

If there's ever been a time to buy a hockey jersey, and there's rarely a time to buy a hockey jersey, this is it; this is the one to get.

You can pick up a replica jersey here, but if you want one to wear during the big semi-final game against Canada today, you better get out and find one quickly. Let's go USA!

the bluelace project.

it's time to show you care about products made in the good old US of A. how am i going to do that you ask? through the bluelace project, that's how.

the bluelace project is a movement making an effort to show retailers that people do care about domestically produced, made in america, products. the chosen symbol and way to show your american made poduct support is through a pair of these blue laces. dripcult likes american made products, we support american companies and we defintely support this project. we stumbled upon this project a little late, but we're going to promote it while we still can. we've backed this project and now it's your turn to go back it as well. you can donate, swoop a pair of laces and get the full literature on their kickstarter here. plus there's a video of a guy pulling a huge truck with these laces that's worth a watch at the very least. go over and support. go now.

Nothing says America like Bacon and American flags. I absolutely love patriotism in fashion... and bacon. I mean let's face it, even with all of our current problems, we live in an amazing place. I know we're generally accustomed to seeing American Flag-type fashions during the fourth of July, but why be limited to one month and the occasional three-day weekend?

If you love your country, why not show it by wearing your pride on your sleeve? Check out these gems I found that do just that:

your neighbors american flag shirt

altru USA stars tank top

altru don't tread on me tee

outcast americana tank top

lightweight stars 'n' stripes scarf

entree american blood flag 5-panel hat

CXXVI made in USA tee

deter give me liberty raglan tee

standard cloth americana short

pendleton heroic chief tee

God bless America.

freedom tunes.

Just put together this playlist to remind you how friggin' awesome Amurrika is. They aren't all necessarily patriotic songs, but they do, in some way, remind me of or describe how I feel about America. I know we like to joke around from time to time, but if there's one thing we can all agree on, it's that we live in the greatest country in the world. Don't take it for granted. Celebrate it.

Why didn't I hear about this sooner?

Now me being such a fan of Levi's, as well as Shepard Fairy, I am blown away as to how I didn't hear about this until now. There is not much literature on this, but you can believe me when I say 'I dug,' and this is what I found:

Levi's did a collaboration with Shepard Fairy (Internationally known street artist, painter, and owner of the clothing company Obey Propaganda). They worked together on a limited edition, only 50 were made, denim classic trucker jacket. Upon being asked why a trucker jacket was chosen, Shepard said this; “(It) is a significant piece in that it’s one of the few fashion icons that has managed to mean something important to almost every demographic and ideology of youth culture movement since it was first introduced.”

I couldn't agree with you more Shepard. The trucker jacket has always been there, and will always be and I'm completely okay with that. What I love the most about this garment is how Shepard added an american flag, but made it wearable. He cooled down the reds and and added a cream mask over the whole image. I feel that this color scheme works well with the wash of the jacket. In a lot of his art/ clothing, he tends to go with these colors, especially the cream. The off set and diagonal placement of the design gives the feeling of an actual print on the jacket rather than a patch. I've seen american patches on a denim jacket before and they are cool, but not very dynamic. I feel like I would have a hard time finding things to go with the loud patch on my trucker jacket. I havent found a close enough picture to determine the medium used to print the design, but I am curious to know. Any input on this is welcome!

Unfourtunatly for me, and those of you also just finding out about this, these jackets were released in July of 2011. I have seen a few off and on, on ebay though going for $400-$500. I can only imagine how quick they got picked up in july, the denim craze was in full force last summer. Next time, I guess I just need to be more alert towards cool collabs. All in all, I give this collaberation a 9/10; drip drip. What do you think?

I don't know about any of you, but I am excited for this show. I think moonshiners are so rad. For some reason this is so appealing to me. I'm not talking about the lack of hygiene or the illiteracy present, but working with your hands and creating an old American tradition that happens to be illegal. Running from the cops is always fun as well. The country lifestyle has always been appealing to me as well. Maybe it's more of a scenic thing, I'm not sure. I stumbled onto moonshiners and a few videos a couple years ago; I have been fascinated by it since. If you ever get a chance to look into it more it's a guaranteed entertaining few hours. Look up Popcorn Sutton, he is hands down one of the most entertaining people you will ever watch. Needless to say I am excited for this show. I can't wait.
