knickerbocker mfg. holy crap.

everything about these guys breathes quality and american style.

from the kmfg official website:

"Knickerbocker is an American manufacturing company based in New York City. We began with taking over a sixty year old

manufacturing company on its way out of business. We revitalized our now current place of business but never lost appreciation for what came before us in this space; well crafted quality goods made right here in New York City.  Those products, which came before us, stood the test of time and we have built our business on this principle.

Our key to success is keeping a small, tight-knit group of skilled craftsman at the ready.  Our master hatter, Felix Pantaleon, has been making hats for more than 30 years and takes great pride in ensuring that each person who touches your cap has a solid working knowledge of production on every level.

Our goal is to recreate the American manufacturing model by combining techniques, machinery and technology of both new & old to re-invent the process. The future is bright, we thank you for your support and look forward to achieving this with you. "

And yes, not only are their videos, blog, and instagram impressive, their clothing and top notch as well.

Check out their website to learn more about them here

american crew - molding clay.

This stuff is the current jam.

matte finish. solid hold. only $12 on amazon

so, you know, use it 'n' stuff. so you can look like this guy.

warning: insanely clefted chin is not a side effect of use of this product. Nor is it included with purchase of American Crew products; you gotta grow that shiz on your own.

the bluelace project.

it's time to show you care about products made in the good old US of A. how am i going to do that you ask? through the bluelace project, that's how.

the bluelace project is a movement making an effort to show retailers that people do care about domestically produced, made in america, products. the chosen symbol and way to show your american made poduct support is through a pair of these blue laces. dripcult likes american made products, we support american companies and we defintely support this project. we stumbled upon this project a little late, but we're going to promote it while we still can. we've backed this project and now it's your turn to go back it as well. you can donate, swoop a pair of laces and get the full literature on their kickstarter here. plus there's a video of a guy pulling a huge truck with these laces that's worth a watch at the very least. go over and support. go now.

grab a bite and a friend.

If you look through our blog or follow us on instagram it's no secret we like In N Out, but this is not what this post is about. Yes In N Out is great, way better than Five Guys so suck it Andrew, but what's even better is sharing a meal with your friends. Going out to lunch or dinner, maybe if you're up early enough for breakfast, with a good friend never disappoints. What could be better? Go hit up one of your friends to grab a bite. Catch up on life if it's been awhile or just share some crazy experience you had the day before. Either way it's a recipe for a good time.

American Catch Up.

I went and got some food with my friend Timmy.

He got Cha, but I was feeling American so I got a burger.

In N Out, never disappointing.

Five Guys Got It Goin' On.

Last night Timmy and I embarked on a journey involving burgers, fries and drinks at a little place called Five Guys. If you have never heard of Five Guys let me drop a few lines for ya. In 1986, the first Five Guys opens in Arlington, Virginia. They have won multiple awards for their food, give you complete control on what goes on your burger and is known as the East coast In-N-Out. They offer hamburgers, cheese burgers, hotdogs, veggie burgers, fries, and of course peanuts. They also have bacon so you can add that to your menu picks as well. They offer endless peanuts for their customers to eat while you are waiting for you food. They literally have boxes sitting around; straight stacks on stacks. They also have peanut shells all over the restaurant. They are every where you go. It's almost like a game to try to find where they aren't present.

If you have never had Five Guys you should change that as soon as possible, also known as ASAP. Timmy has never had Five Guys, so that's exactly what we did. We changed that ASAP. Five Guys offers a solid cheese burger/hamburger, some delicious fries and a wonderful array of fountain drinks. If you want to enjoy an american cheese burger you have come to the right place. It's not the best though let that be known. They are also a little on the pricey side. If you want a burger, fries, and a drink you're looking at spending more than ten dollars. I have no problem going there and dropping that because it's a great meal. If the food is great, the price doesn't matter to me.

With all that said, is Five Guys better than In-N-Out?

The answer is No. Get outta here with that crazy talk.

In-N-Out is, and will always be better than Five Guys. Go ahead and try to argue with me. You really can't. There is no argument. Better food, better prices and better locations. But what about all the awards they’ve won? Who cares. Put up your awards, we’ll be eating better food at In-N-Out. Nothing with compare to an In-N-Out cheeseburger. It will trump anything out there and will always leave you wanting more. I could have In-N-Out for lunch and go back for dinner. I don't want to do that at Five Guys. Don't get me wrong I enjoy my meal at Five Guys, but I don't want to eat it all over again like I do at In-N-Out. I am California through and through and that means In-N-Out 'til I die.

In-N-Out > Five Guys.

I don't know about any of you, but I am excited for this show. I think moonshiners are so rad. For some reason this is so appealing to me. I'm not talking about the lack of hygiene or the illiteracy present, but working with your hands and creating an old American tradition that happens to be illegal. Running from the cops is always fun as well. The country lifestyle has always been appealing to me as well. Maybe it's more of a scenic thing, I'm not sure. I stumbled onto moonshiners and a few videos a couple years ago; I have been fascinated by it since. If you ever get a chance to look into it more it's a guaranteed entertaining few hours. Look up Popcorn Sutton, he is hands down one of the most entertaining people you will ever watch. Needless to say I am excited for this show. I can't wait.
