Egg Sandwiches.

I made egg sandwiches for Adam and I this morning that were expectedly delicious. The egg sandwich never lets you down. It's a very simple sandwich: egg, cheese, mayo and bread. You can always spruce it up with a little ham, bacon, tomato or avocado too. We kept it basic this morning. I do wish now that I used some avocados though, but there's always next time.

Egg sandwiches always remind me of one place and two people. The place is Utah and the people are Andrew and Jose. They know what I'm talking about. We all got pretty good at making our egg sandwiches, then again, that's about all we ate for a few months for breakfast. Good times and good memories. This one goes out to us guys. Long like the Temple of Doom.

Brain Freezing, Nice Socks.

What you see here is the picture by picture capture of the typical brain freeze. An unsuspecting Taylor is enjoying his smoothie unknown to the danger ahead. Then it strikes! The searing pain of millions of icicles shooting through his head as he winces in agony. "When will it end??" He thinks to himself. It eventually subsides and the pain is a mere memory. It is then time for him to find his center and realign his chi. Focused and recovering, Taylor has made it through to sip again.

Another victim is struck down in pain. It is now a battle of the mind. Taylor is there to guide Andrew through it, but can only do so much. He knows his pain and what is ahead of Andrew on this awful journey.

Reflecting back on what has just happened, Andrew recovers his strength. But he remembers...

He's got on some nice socks. Step up your sock game.

Taco Tuesday - 12.20.11.

Yesterday was Tuesday so you know what that means: tacos, tacos, and more tacos! The tacos featured above belong to James, a wizard with food I might add. It’d been awhile since I have attended Taco Tuesday, my schedule has been crazy and wasn't allowing time for it. But not this time! Don’t call it a comeback. Well actually, call it a comeback because that’s exactly what it is. Since Andrew and James were back in town, we had to do it big. So we got as many friends together as we could and got our grub on. Andrew was watching the boys so we brought them along too. They always keep things interesting. After all, they’re five. It was a good turn out of friends and with perfect weather. It was nice and sunny and if you're not in California, your winter probably doesn't look like this. Sucks to be you! Tacos for everyone! Unfortunately, tradition states that we must elect a Taco Tuesday Weirdo. This time we had two. It kills me to do this.

The Taco Tuesday Weirdos

These Taco Tuesday Weirdos are Brock and Landon. I didn't want to do this, but they got a bean and cheese burrito... who does that? I blame Andrew for this travesty, but BMG said  that’s what they wanted. He could have easily gotten them tacos instead, but he didn't. I'm sorry boys, I really am. I hate myself for this, but there must be consequences for your actions! I know you didn't really have a choice,  but you could have thrown a fit until you got them or something. Next time. Again boys, I'm sorry.

Drip Wall.

Gold Mining.

Get it.

Semi-lost, confused and driving down a sketchy road that is under heavy construction. It smells like cows, horses and poop that's been sitting around getting heated up. It's almost impossible to drive down this street with tractors blocking the road and construction guys waving you past while you try to squeeze between an uplifted part of the road that forms a beautiful new ditch and a three ton tractor. It's nerve wracking...

Let's Eat.

We ate like kings while I visited Andrew. Burgers and fries at the Creamery on 9th are unmatchable. It's a good burger and fries at an even better price. The best bang for your buck around. The french toast was enjoyed at Magleby's. If you don't know what that place is or where it is, go hit yourself in your head with a rock and then go get some. I cannot stress enough how amazing this french toast is. Actually it's the syrup that really makes it. It's like sweet nectar put on this planet by God himself. Heaven must be populated with fountains that are constantly flowing and oozing with this sweet syrup. No joke, go get some tomorrow morning if you can wake up in time. I forgot to mention it's all you can eat. Kneaders can suck it. Yeah, I said it. Get over it. That beast of a hotdog you see Andrew toting is a creation of his own. I'm not going to go into much detail on that because he will. J Dawgs is Andrew's second home. All I'm gonna say is go eat there. I think Andrew will have some more words on this subject later.

Center Street.

These pictures are a small glimpse into what happened during my visit to Utah. We ended up on Center Street with the camera and had to take some pictures. What you see is what took place during this event. We treated the camera like a hot potato so you could be looking at a number of people’s work. With the camera being passed between Andrew, Kelli (my girlfriend), and I, we were bound to come out with an interesting and unique assortment of photos. After we got home and took a look at what we had captured, we realized that we had digital gold. Not only did we have a great time and a lot of fun, but we have it documented for us to look back on later in life. Seriously, grab some friends and a camera and go out into the world to make some memories. Sounds cheesy, but you won't regret it.
