the pliqo bag.

So a couple years ago Delta Airlines stole my favorite suit. I had very recently purchased, and had tailored, a brand new italian wool, charcoal with light grey windowpane two-button suit. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever owned. Ever. It was like looking into the face of an angel.

I gave it to the flight attendant to hang in the closet during the flight. Then, Delta failed to return it to me when I left the plane, and when I contacted customer support, they were "unable to locate it". So that was super cool. Like, really cool. Like, so cool I went into a deep depression and became a recluse for the next 12 years.

Luckily, I've come up with the perfect solution for this type of problem: don't freaking trust an airline with anything you care about. The Pliqo suit bag is the tangible version of that solution.

Finally, a suit bag that actually folds without wrinkling the living hell out of your suit. And so small, you can actually keep it with you, whether as a shoulder bag, strapped to your carry on, or just in your normal luggage.

I've already put in my order, but if my recommendation isn't enough to sell you, check out their kickstarter video and see for yourself. You can thank me later.

Has anyone else ever had a similar experience on an airline, or am I just the most unlucky human?

larsen & ross.

want a bag that will last decades? yes, decades. seriously, these things will most likely not need to be replaced from wear. larsen and ross make hardcore leather goods built to handle your wear and tear, as well as the wear and tear of a small army. Plus they look good. can't beat that.

although this video isn't super exciting, it does show the products well and explains a little more about the company itself.

herschel supply co.

In 2009, two brothers in a town populated with only 30 people named Herschel, founded a company dedicated to manufacturing high-quality bags and accessories. Jamie and Lyndon Cormack began focus on long-lasting products with an attention to detail. From their background and wilderness inspiration, Herschel products can be put to use, adventuring in nature, commuting to work, or walking between classes. No matter what you're doing, you'll look great.

Lucky for us, Herschel Supply Co. has a greta online store, so I've posted a few of my favorites for you to check out. Give 'em a look and see what you think. Click the model names for more information.

parker backpack - $57.99

pop quiz backpack - $69.99

little america rucksack - $84.99

totem messenger bag - $89.99

heritage compuer sleeve - $44.99

pop quiz computer sleeve - $64.99

You might pay a little more for Herschel gear than you would somewhere else, but you can be sure that your stuff will be protected in style. Herschel products will last a lot longer and look a lot better than anything else on the market. You're going back to school, you're working up a storm, or you're doing some traveling, why not look good while you do it?
