tiny desk concerts.

I've always felt that you can get a good idea for how talented a band really is by seeing them perform live. Furthermore, when a band plays without amps and effects and computer loops and autotune and all that jazz, you get a really good feel for raw talent and emotion. Theres nothing better than that.

That being said, here are some excellent "tiny desk concert" videos from some of my favorites.

end of summer playlist.

By now you've had ample time to take advantage of the summer and enjoy yourself in the outdoors. If you haven't done so, well then what in the world are you waiting for? Honestly.

Let's pretend, for a second, that you have done what you're supposed to when summer hits. Let's just assume that you've been going to the beach regularly, traveling a bit, mooching off your friends to take their boats to the lake, relaxing in the park, and so on and so forth. During such fun-filled events, you may or may not have noticed that despite nature's awe-inspiring beauty, it lacks a soundtrack. I noticed it too.

So here, my friends is your summer 2012 playlist. Perfect for driving along the coast or through other scenic routes, relaxing by the lake, gliding across the water, or pretty much any other activity that feels like summer. Enjoy!
