society clothing.

It was only a matter of time before this post came along. This brand is too fresh to not show off; our friends over at Society have some of the best shirts out there. What is Society? Well I’m glad you asked, because Society is a California based design collective that aims to bring a casual fashion alternative to the “modern renaissance lifestyle.” You might be asking yourself what that means and that’s ok if you are, it just means that their clothes are going to make you look a lot better than you already do. It also means that ladies will probably start to notice your incredibly enhanced fashion sense, and men will be jealous that they don’t look as good as you (but mostly the ladies). These handmade shirts fit perfectly and are true to size: you won't have to play the shirt size guessing game. Not only that, but they’re the perfect poly-cotton blend, which happens to make them softer than a baby's bottom, and leaves you feeling like you've been draped with silk like a Greek God. Needless to say, the shirt won’t interfere when you're out taking on the world. With various styles from baseball tees to casual everyday t-shirts, they have something that you’ll want to buy. Where can you pick one up? Well here's the moment you've all been waiting for: the plug. You can buy online by swooping here on their online shop, or you can go to any local Buckle retail store and snag one there. So go grab some new threads and join the Society already. drip drip.

A Walk In The Wilderness.

Went on a hike with Kelli today, it was too nice out not too.

If you didn't get out today you missed out on a beautiful day.

Made some friends while we were out. They're really shy and skittish, nice though.

Posted the pic of some single track for Jose. You know it.

American Catch Up.

I went and got some food with my friend Timmy.

He got Cha, but I was feeling American so I got a burger.

In N Out, never disappointing.

The Orange Balloon.

Victory.

Finally.

I cannot tell you how many times I have tried to go on this. It has been failed attempt after failed attempt. All I wanted to do was take my girlfriend on a cute date, but it never seemed to work out. Let me first tell you what this is. Besides the obvious of it being a big orange balloon, this is a ride at the Great Park in Irvine. If you've driven down the 5 freeway in southern California, you've probably seen this thing in the air or on the ground. It's a pretty simple ride. It goes up, you gawk in the amazement of what Orange County looks like at night and then you come back down. Don't let that description fool you. It's actually a really fun, calming experience. If you're afraid of heights you have no business going on this. Going at night is really nice, but I can imagine going during the day would be good as well. If you've ever been on supreme scream at Knott's, the view is kinda like that. You don't get to free fall though, sorry. That would be fun though. So if you're ever in the Irvine area I highly suggest this. Make sure to get there early. Registration for the ride fills up fast.

Crystal Cove.

I've been in Newport the last couple days relaxing and taking it easy with Kelli. We went down to Crystal Cove to be tourists for the morning and poke our heads around down there. I haven't been down there since the government came and changed some things so it was interesting to see. Fun fact about Crystal Cove: the government came in and decided that they wanted their land back so all of the people living there got kicked out of their homes. They then took some of their homes and turned them into beach house rentals. The other homes were turned into stores, offices or a walk through museums. Basically the people that lived there got screwed. We headed down there in the morning to hang out and catch some breakfast. Unfortunately, they stop serving breakfast at the Beachcomber at 11:30 am. We got there at 11:40 am, really guys? Couldn't serve us breakfast ten minutes later? So we just got some bread and enjoyed a beach front snack. Not even close to satisfying when you want breakfast. Nothing sounds good when you’re in the mood for breakfast, only breakfast does. I saw a building that was the same color as my shirt so I thought I'd get a monochromatic picture going. Shout out to Heidi, rep those colors and that new car! It was a really fun and sad experience at Crystal Cove. It was a beautiful day and a fun place to experience, but in the back of your head you're just thinking that these buildings used to be someone's home. Some person's pride and joy. They looked forward to waking up every morning and walking three steps out their front door to be on the beach. Not any more though. Now their beloved homes are just tourist attractions. I couldn’t imagine.

The California Burrito.

What do you get when you wrap up carne asada, pico de gallo, cheese, and fries in a tortilla? The great and delicious California burrito. This is no ordinary burrito, this is the creation of a culinary genius. It is speculated that the California burrito originated in San Diego, CA in the 80’s. In 1995, the first documentation of a California burrito was an article in the Albuquerque Tribune. So this burrito is a pretty new fusion of tastiness. It’s reaching its 30’s now and has really discovered who it is. The California burrito has been known to try out different styles. The one I listed above is my preferred liking of the California burrito, but not the only way to make one. Some people prefer carne asada, cheese, fries and sour cream in the burrito (like Timmy). I prefer to also dip mine into sour cream. Hence, the side of sour cream pictured above. Some also add guacamole, everyone has their preferences. As long as you have carne asada and fries wrapped in your tortilla you’re still in the California burrito realm to me. There are also plenty of places to get a good california burrito around here. My favorite is available at Los Primos. The greatest little Mexican restaurant around for a California burrito. Another solid place to get one is Albertacos. Theirs is prepared differently than Los Primos’, but is still a good burrito. Andrew, Aaron and I went to Los Primos yesterday and enjoyed the wondrous creation. Los Primos is one of the places we go to often. One tip for eating at Los Primos, don’t go inside late at night. Try to order your food and get outside as quickly as possible. Don’t ask why, just accept what I say and trust me. For those of you that know what I’m talking about; what are they doing back there? I’ve never known why it smells like that, forever a mystery. Anyways, go get a California burrito and enjoy the explosion of flavors in your mouth. Long live the California burrito!
