I've been in Newport the last couple days relaxing and taking it easy with Kelli. We went down to Crystal Cove to be tourists for the morning and poke our heads around down there. I haven't been down there since the government came and changed some things so it was interesting to see. Fun fact about Crystal Cove: the government came in and decided that they wanted their land back so all of the people living there got kicked out of their homes. They then took some of their homes and turned them into beach house rentals. The other homes were turned into stores, offices or a walk through museums. Basically the people that lived there got screwed. We headed down there in the morning to hang out and catch some breakfast. Unfortunately, they stop serving breakfast at the Beachcomber at 11:30 am. We got there at 11:40 am, really guys? Couldn't serve us breakfast ten minutes later? So we just got some bread and enjoyed a beach front snack. Not even close to satisfying when you want breakfast. Nothing sounds good when you’re in the mood for breakfast, only breakfast does. I saw a building that was the same color as my shirt so I thought I'd get a monochromatic picture going. Shout out to Heidi, rep those colors and that new car! It was a really fun and sad experience at Crystal Cove. It was a beautiful day and a fun place to experience, but in the back of your head you're just thinking that these buildings used to be someone's home. Some person's pride and joy. They looked forward to waking up every morning and walking three steps out their front door to be on the beach. Not any more though. Now their beloved homes are just tourist attractions. I couldn’t imagine.
