Sometimes, no matter how hard you try to avoid it, you get molested by beginning of the week boredom. In these college towns you see it more than ever. Especially during midterms. We’ve all been there, in our cold cellar of a room, stewing in our half written thesis papers, just aching for the sight of the weekend. I find myself wishing that the remote from “Click” was real so you could simply pass Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (not Thursday, it’s the new Friday) with the click of a button. I have complete disregard for the fact that I may get careless and accidently fast forward through my future daughter’s childhood. My unborn child’s adolescence is not important, because I am bored.
Monday morning my roommates and I got together and decided we were to throw a life raft into this freezing, vicious sea of boredom. We were going to have a bit of a “get together “on Tuesday night. My roommate Braden Olsen is an awesome DJ so it would be fun. We sent a few texts, invited the homies on facebook, and didn’t think much of it. Tuesday night snuck around, and we danced. It was glorious. Close to a hundred people ended up showing up which isn’t bad for a three bedroom apartment, on a Tuesday, during midterms, with twenty four hours notice. Naturally, we decided to make this a weekly tradition. Two words. Drip drip.
