jock jamz 2.0

I've recently started working out in the mornings instead of the evenings because I'm a grown a$$ man and i've got really exciting and important things to do in the evenings. Things  like buying eggs and milk, and doing laundry, and binge watching episodes of Seinfeld, and getting into gang fights and whatnot.

Now when I say mornings, I mean I'm walking into the gym around 5:00 in the freaking AM. That means I'm up at 4:30 making breakfast.

The only problem I've had with this decision is that I effing hate mornings so hard. If mornings were a person I'd punch it right in the jeans repeatedly. Mornings are simply the worst.

The only solution: solid gym jamz. So here's today's jock jam, and one classic blast from the past that were on my playlist.

Dillon Francis & DJ Snake (worst DJ name ever btw)

moon hooch.

alcoholic galactic beverage or amazing three piece band? In this case, I'm referring to the second option, and you'll be happy that's the case. Not to say that getting white-girl wasted in space isn't something you might be into, but I'm more of a a music junkie than an interstellar adventurer.

That being said, trust me when I say that moon hooch is one of the most unique musical experiences you'll ever be a part of and actually enjoy. The band is made up of two saxaphonists and a drummer, with the occasional guest vocalist, making what I would call a mix of jazz and dance music that occasionally feels like EDM. They're awesome. That's really all you need to know. Now listen:

chainsmokers - kanye ft. siren.

you may know the chainsmokers from their track "#selfie" and hate them because of it. i don't blame you and i'm right there with you. it's stupid, so stupid.

so naturally i'm going to be a little hesitant about anything else they release, but when i saw they dropped a track titled "kanye" i had to bite.

it could be better considering the title, but it's catchy and not terrible like "#selfie".

it's worth a listen and i've put it in the post. i'm curious as to if 'ye will acknowledge it or maybe even remix it.

major lazer - aerosol can ft. pharrell williams.

ready for a new dope video from major lazer? the correct answer is yes.

the latest video for major lazer's track "aerosol can" features mike giant and his handstyle with a little art while pharrell reminds us that he can spit a nasty verse.

i promise you this song will be stuck in your head after you hear it. it'd be weird if it wasn't. i mean it's major lazer (aka diplo) and pharrell. unless you've been under a rock lately you know pharrell is on top of the world right now and you're probably still humming his track "happy" or thinking about that ridiculous hat of his.

enjoy this track with the new visuals and work it into your weekend playlist.

flume - holdin' on.

whenever i stumble upon a track that kills it and it's been out for awhile, i wonder how the hell i didn't find it sooner. flume's song "holdin' on" is exactly one of those tracks.

i found this song the other day and it's been on repeat since. i love how groovy it is. it makes me want to get down and find a hip shakin' mama so bad.

while i look for my hip shakin' mama listen and enjoy this track. where you at ma??

animals never gets old.

i haven't listened to this track in awhile, but then a friend sent it over in during one of those glorious song-swap-texts and it reminded how much i enjoy it. while i was listening to it i had a thought, i asked myself "taylor, how can you enjoy this even more?" there was only one logical answer – find a trap version. so, i did. i've got the original and the trap version underneath it. enjoy.
