h&m modern essentials by david beckham - car coat.

i'm going to start with saying i didn't even want to buy this jacket.

i walked into h&m because i was at the mall and saw the jacket. i tried it on out of curiosity and that's when it was all over. the jacket fits great and looks great on too. needless to say, i had to buy it.

i highly suggest you look at the modern essentials collection that h&m and david beckham created. it's a well put together collection of basics that look great and fit great too.

head into an h&m and put them on your body. if don't have that luxury then shop the modern essentials collection online here

alexander wang x h&m.

in case you missed this realease from these two fashion giants, here are some highlights from the wang x h&m collaboration. Can't say I love all of it, but some of the pieces are solid.

h&m long hooded jacket.

so h&m has a few bangers you should probably check out, like this long hooded jacket for $40. i've kinda written h&m off lately, but found myself on their website today and they have a few things i'd actually like to pick up. they've finally caught up and dropped the hem lines longer on a few pieces. they even brought in some heavy metal bands shirts to jump on that trend. check the site and cop this guy here

alexander wang x h&m available now.

oh wait, it's already sold out online. bummer. now you don't get to look like a gothic scuba diver. you're really blowin' it, but wait! you might be able to cop some in stores still! run down to your closest h&m that carries the line and try to grab a few pieces! if not, you've gotta struggle over to ebay in a bit and pay double the retail for the clothes. good luck friends.

alexandre plokohov x uniqlo 2014 f/w collection.

you should be excited for this collection and let me tell you guys why.

first, look at what this collection from alexandre plokhov and uniqlo has to offer. seriously, scroll down and look. this capsule is straight fire. these pieces should be added to your wardrobe asap. they’re great layering pieces to add depth and texture to your outfits or they can even stand as solo pieces. the collection is minimal and clean. they cut the shit and gave us great looking garments.

second, that alexander wang x h&m collection looks ugly as hell. if you're like me, the minute you heard about that collection you looked into it and you were disappointed. It’s ugly and that’s that. this is clearly uniqlo’s attempt to compete with the wang x h&m collection and in my opinion, uniqlo wins. they win a lot.

third, the price point. this collection doesn’t look cheap, but if you know anything about uniqlo then you know you aren’t going to blow your next paycheck to cop this collection. This collection is suppose to range between $20 to $60 dollars. So there’s no excuse to not get at this collection.

head on over to uniqlo’s website to see more. swoop here

5 h&m fall/winter 2014 offerings.

so if you haven't been to h&m in a bit, you should probably go now.

they have straight fire in their store this fall/winter season and i'm stoked to pick a few of these up.

here are my top 5 picks from h&m's fall/winter 2014 collection.

Long Pilot Jacket

This jacket is dope. The length is what draws me to it. It's your typical bomber jacket stretched out. It's different and allows for the wearer to add some depth to their outfit. swoop here

Fine Knit Sweater

The thing I like most about this sweater is the fact that it looks old and used, like it was picked up off the streets. That makes no sense, but that's why I like it. It doesn't have clean cuts and i think that adds to the character of the piece. pick it up here

Shirt Jacket

first things first, the name of this piece is stupid. Shirt jacket? that's the best they could do? or do they just not care that much? my money's on the latter of the two, but whatever. This garment's appeal is pretty obvious – the asymmetrical zipper. instantly makes this jacket that much cooler. swoop here

Black T-Shirt

This is just a basic black t-shirt. There's not much to it other than that. I like that neckline and the room it gives you. talk about swoop neck. snag it here

Black Long T-shirt

It's a long tee. Enough is said in the title for me to be into it. I like the length, but also the pattern of the actual shirt. If you look closely at the shoulder area it's not sewn like your typical shirt and i'm into that. swoop here

H&M Winter wool.

I'll be honest, I'm not a huge fan of H&M. I mean, yes they're supply chain is extremely fast and so they're able to pump out the newest runway styles before other companies (similar to ZARA in this sense), but, and it's a big ol' but: the quality and fit aren't always the greatest.

That being said, let me also say this: I LOVE H&M ACCESSORIES. No joke, they're incredible. Again, they won't be the highest quality you've ever come across, but i find the quality of accessories to be exponentially higher than any other product they make. Not only that, but I think they're priced extremely well.

The selection is great and always changing. Knit beanies, wool scarves, blended fabrics, fresh patterns; you really can't go wrong. The best thing to do in the colder months is layer, and doing so with nice accessories is a good place to start. Check out a few of my favs from the online store.

fall is for flannel.

fall is among us and that means jacket season is right around the corner. we’re still in that awkward end of summer/beginning of fall stage where it’s still hot as hell during the day and drops off drastically when the sun sets. keep those down feather jackets in the closet for now though, we don’t need those yet. light layers and light outerwear are kings right now and flannel shirts are sitting on top of the throne.

it's time to tap into your flannel reserves or pick some new ones up. if you've got a beard great, but if you don’t it’s time to grow it out and get your paul bunyan on. be careful though, you don’t want to look like an actual lumber jack or maybe you do. i don’t know, or really care, and that whole outdoor, camping, poler lifestyle thing is pretty trendy right now so who knows? maybe that’s the exact look you’re going for. we support you no matter what over here at dripcult. but what i do know is that a well fitted flannel can help you avoid these immediate lumber jack associations. it’ll show people that you took the time to find clothing that fits because you care about how you look and not about taking an axe to trees.

i took to the interwebs to see this fall’s flannel offerings form various companies and was quite pleased with my findings. check out some of my picks below.

have any favorites or know of other places the cult should check out? drop us a line and let us know so we can share it.

H&M finally opened their online store in the US. We've been waiting for this for awhile now, I think most of us actually gave up and lost hope on it ever happening. Well now it's time to rejoice. No more going to six different H&M stores to track down your size. Just a few clicks and it's yours. Jump on over and grab what you want/need here.
