Stromae, the belgian artist blending hip-hop/, house, electronica, and legitimate lyrics. Stromae not only brings a unique sound to international pop culture, but he does so with seriously deep topics and lyrics, which is uncommon in the genre. His songs are good, and his style is on point.

We love stromae. you will too.

Midweek Jams.

usually wednesday means the middle of the work week; however, this week is a short one since most of the corporate world rewards us for living in America with a three-day-July 4th weekend. That sounds like a pretty good reason to celebrate. What better way to celebrate than with a solid playlist?

Ellenberg - cities between us

niva - dirty water

grimes - realiti

kagu - human

milo greene - 1957

from gold - novo amor

tei shi - bassically

vok - before

rhye - open

kendrick lamar - king kunta

kendrick lamar drops visuals for his track "king kunta" and they're dope. it's got a heavy 90's rap video feel with a little ruff riders vibe mixed into it. it's a solid video from his latest album to pimp a butterfly. watch below.

kendrick lamar - to pimp a butterfly album stream.

king kendrick's new album finally dropped. this year is going to be a crazy year in music. drake kicked it off with if you're reading this it's too late and now kendrick lamar brings us to pimp a butterfly.

if you've listened to "i," "the blacker the berry" or "king kunta" then you already know the vibe that to pimp a butterfly has and the sound kendrick was going for. there are no radio hits or club bangers on this album. lamar speaks his mind and let's us know where his thoughts are at in this album. he focuses on some heavy subjects as themes of race and ethnicity are extremely present in this album.

kendrick doesn't fall short. this album will go down in the books and really shows off lamar's talent for story telling in his songs as well as his talent for delivering strong lyrics.

sit back and actually listen to this album. you won't be disappointed. link below.

stream it on spotify here.
