Ho.Ly.Crap. You guys, I've found the holy grail of shorts. First of all, it's important to point out that I'm not much of a shorts-wearing person. Like, generally, unless I'm going to the gym or playing soccer, I'm not going the shorts route. I'm jeans all day. But alas, my mind has been opened to beauty that is Vuori.

Our friends over at Vuori sent us over a couple pairs and I've been wearing them nonstop ever since. These things are insanely comfy. They're crazy lightweight, they stretch in every direction, and they hold up like a champ.

Made from 4-way stretch fabric and an anti-odor finish built, these shorts are moisture wicking and quick drying. I've worn them to the gym, to the beach, to the park, our to run errands, and at all times around the house.

There are two main fits (not including the board-short specific fit): the Kore and the Banks. The Kore is a bit slimmer, but honestly, both designs are killer and are super versatile, and come in sooo many color/pattern options.

I love these things so much, I immediately bought two additional pairs. Yeah, they're THAT good. Do yourself a favor, and pick some up.

Nike x acronym.

let me introduce you to nike's latest collaboration with acronym - the air presto mid collection.

As per usual, they're near impossible to find. They retail for around $200, but the only place you're likely to find them is on eBay for around $400+. Good luck with that.

adidas - nmd 'pitch black'.

adidas just released their NMD - "Pitch Black" sneaker.

Yes, they are very cool. What's not cool is that they only released 100 pairs of them, and are using the release as a marketing ploy... real cool, Adidas.

In order to get a pair, there was a whole snapchat process required that meant you had to annoy your friends on yet another social media platform just to enter a contest that you 100% were never going to win. Come on, adidas, just make enough shoes and pay for your marketing like everybody else does.

lunarepic flyknit.

Finally, somebody comes out with a new innovation in the world of running shoes. Did we all expect it to come from Nike? yeah probably, but that doesn't make it any less impressive.

Let's be honest, running is borderline cruel and unusual punishment, so anything that can lessen that struggle is a godsend. check it:

This thing is pretty sweet. I mean, it looks extremely dorky on its own, but not half bad on some feets.

  • Flywire integrates with the laces for a dynamic, supportive fit
  • Skin-like overlay on the heel for added structure - this is the same tehnology as seen in the most recent soccer cleats
  • Fused foam midsole for enhanced durability without the use of glues or cements
  • Laser-cut outsole provides great multi-surface traction

    Check them out here.

    nike air presto.

    what a beaut.

It currently only comes in one colorway from stores, so if you want anything other than this gross blue, you'll have to customize your own.

But given the different color and material options, it might be worth it because they look super fresh if you do it right.

     swoop here to scoop.

    Nike Rosche Flyknit.

the comfy casual trend is still in full swing. So treat yourself to some new Nikes. The newest version is out and available for customization. Here are a few versions I mocked up real quick:

Stop by the Nike id Website to create your own pair for the gym or running, or walking around in sweats in public, or running for your life, or yogging, or keeping it real.

    adidas foot clouds

Yes, I am a nike person. Yes, I will continue to be a nike person in the future. Yes, nike is absolutely the most aesthetically pleasing brand for athletic wear on the market. Yes, the nike frees are extremely comfortable.

But holy crap, these shoes feel like you're walking on clouds.

I'm not sure what they put in the soles of these things but I can only assume it's tiny bits of actual clouds. It's like walking on a bed made of puppies suspended in a state of zero gravity.  It's like standing on a giant pillow filled with memory foam, only the memory foam is alive and loves your feet so it hugs them all day.

don't go to the adidas website for these. Instead, go straight to a foot locker or some other shoe store and put these things directly onto your feets.

    Trail Runners.

I'll be honest with you, I absolutely hate running. That being said, I'm a grown man and no longer have the metabolism of a 16 year old. Not only that, but local soccer leagues generally only have one game a week and rarely practice. What I'm trying to point out is that living in San Francisco has left me with fewer options to get my exercise in and obesity doesn't seem super fun.

So what do you do if you hate running when running seems to be the most accessible form of exercise? You find a way to make it fun. Which leads me to my next topic: trail running.

More to the point: trail runners. A friend of mine has lived here long enough and explored enough to know all the in's and ous of San Francisco. He's gotten all up in the nooks and crannys. So naturally, I've begun abusing our friendship for personal gain and taken up running trails. What I found is that normal running shoes just can't handle intense trails.

Luckily, Nike has already thought of this problem, as always. Meet the Zoom Terra Wildhorse and Zoom Terra Kiger.
