north face x supreme spring/summer '17.

well, if you were debating buying a North Face jacket at a higher than reasonable price, and just weren't sure if you wanted to pull the trigger on a $120 seasonal layer, don't worry! Because now, you can spend 3 times that much on a jacket with the word "Supreme" on it!

That's right, the North Face x Supreme collaboration is back for spring/summer 2017 and the full line has been announced for the low low price of ALL YOUR MONIES.

Not interested in a jacket at the moment? no worries, you can spend $368 on some ski pants meant for the streets in case there's a freak snowstorm on your way to work.

I know I sound cynical, but that's just because I totally am. I honestly think that Supreme collabs are usually super fresh. But to be honest, I'm a little tired of the price you have to pay these days to have the word "supreme" on something. Maybe that's just me. Take a look at the full line below and see the prices at the bottom and you tell me if I'm wrong.

Gore-Tex® Pullover: $488
Gore-Tex® Pant: $368
Polartec® Fleece Jacket: $268
Big Haul Backpack: $158
Headband: $54

alpha industries.

I love how versatile flight jackets are becoming. the bomber/flight jacket trend is still strong which means designers are finding new ways to wear them.

check out these variations from the one and only alpha industries.

You can pick one up directly from alpha industries for around $150. Or you can get lucky and go the ebay route.

necking.

one of the summer's trends in the world of men's fashion is the nerckerchief. I've always been a big supporter of the back pocket square/bandana as it's a timeless, functional, and simple option. But the neckerchief requires a bit more caution and care to execute.

While still timeless and classic, rocking a neckerchief is not as simple as throwing a bandana in your back pocket. What you don't want to do is look like a lame cowboy (unless you're lame and a cowboy), or a wannabe fake billionaire who sports ascots (unless you're a wannabe or a fake, or a billionaire).

Bandana selection is crucial in avoiding embarrassment--go simple and classic in color and pattern. Neckerchief knot selection also plays a big part in this since you most likely don't want to look like a 12 year-old boy scout (unless you're 12 or a boy scout).

When in doubt, just don't even try it. The neckerchief is definitely an accessory for someone confident they can pull it off. But when it's done well, it's killer (see pretty much any picture taken for the brooklyn circus guys over the past year).

good luck.

warby parker spring '16.

warby parker was a game changer with it's 'home try-on' approach to shopping for prescription frames, but the reason we still like them is because they're frames are always on point and affordable.

most of their frames start around a hundred bucks, and with the option to pick 5 pairs to try on in your own home, you really can't go wrong.

Check out their newest spring line:

The Kensett - $95

The Preston - $95

The Haskell - $145

The Kensett - $95

The Burroughs - $95

There are dozens of other styles available on their website. If you're in the market to freshen up the look of your facial region, this is the way to do it.

nike powerlaces.

you guys, it happened again...the most coveted shoe for any sneakerhead...

Almost 30 years ago, Nike was asked to collaborate on a movie that would feature scenes set in the futuristic world of 2015. The brand was challenged to imagine sneakers that would suit the inhabitants of the advanced era. The innovation team, which regularly looks into a crystal ball of athlete insight and technology to project the future of sport, took that task further.

Nike will release a limited amount of pairs of "power-lacing" shoes next spring, however, the number of pairs that will be made available was not disclosed. The shoes will be auctioned off, and the beneficiary once again will be the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.

The latest edition of the shoe features "power laces" -- it senses when the wearer steps in it, and the laces tighten around the foot as the Nike logo on the tongue illuminates.

While Nike started doing this as a fun project, Parker said that reinventing the conventional lacing system could be applied to future products.

"We started creating something for fiction, and we turned it into fact, inventing a technology that will benefit all athletes," Parker said in a release.

my almost favorite flannel.

to be fair, my favorite flannel of all time is also my favorite shirt. So it's unfair to compare other shirts to that one. However, taking that one out of the mix, this is my current favorite flannel shirt.

this lightweight flannel is made by old navy, and is thin enough to wear as a normal shirt during spring as well as fall and winter. I generally pair this with a long-sleeve, white, thermal henley, some selvedge denim, and timberland boots...yes there will be pictures.

It's normall only $35 but right now is on sale for $15, which means you really can't go wrong.

It comes in these other styles as well:

Stop by the Old Navy Website to pick one up. Or I suppose you could also go in to a store and try one on.
