vans sk8 hi reissue - black snake.

these new vans hi-tops are fire.

it almost feels like they're trying to go in a primeknit (a la Nike, adidas) direction. but whatever the reason, they're super fresh.

Pick them up here.

carhartt wip x vans. 2014 f/w era.

carhartt wip and vans get together for a collar that should crush it, but, in my opinion, falls short.

they bring us this camo mitchell inspired patterned on an era silhouette. it comes with the classic vans look and feel, but it looks cheap. plus the camo looks lame. i get what they were going for and i'm sure plenty will still be hype about the collab, but for me it's a pass

one other thing that might turn you off from this collab is the price tag. you're going to set yourself back $112 if you cop a pair – not worth it. i know carhartt wip is dope and creates some awesome workwear inspired clothing, but at the end of the day these are vans. van eras none the less, not even authentics.

if you still want to swoop you can get them at carhartt wip's website here.

pendleton x vans japan collection.

why does everything cool happen in japan? seriously though, they get everything over there and we have to either wait or pay ridiculous amounts to get it here. this time it's two classic american brands, pendleton and vans, teaming up for this collab. pendleton brings their signature look to three different vans shoe styles - the era, the sk8 hi and the slip on. these shoes all feature upper wool, brown suede and leather details that show what pendleton does best. this is a rad little collection that i wish they'd release here in the states, but of course it's only in japan, so happy hunting if you want these. they'll be release at japan's abc-mart at the end of the month.

space, the final frontier.

Let's be real--space is awesome. You show me someone that never thought it would be awesome to be an astronaut and i'll show you a giant liar. Unfortunately, most of us realized that math is terrible, and the amount of math studies required to become an astronaut just isn't worth it. So we accepted the fact that we may never float around in space, or visit galaxies far far way, or ride on that chair that spins around at 6 g's. And that's okay. It doesn't mean we can't still space out our lives in one way or another.

Inspiration can come from anywhere, really, so why not somewhere super freaking far away? Why not the farthest thing we can even imagine...galaxies and shiz? Cosmic styles have made their way into fashion, and I, for one, think it's pretty stellar. (<--- nice right?)

It gets pretty cold out there in space, what with the lack of air and sunlight and atmosphere. You might want to bring a sweatshirt.

America + Space? Why not? I mean we were the first to set foot on the moon (assuming mythbusters was right). I guess you could say space is part of being an American.

For the soccer player whose skills are simply out of this world.

Okay so maybe I ran out of puns, but i think you get the idea. I'll leave you with famous words from mr. Bowie.

This is Major Tom to Ground Control
I'm stepping through the door
And I'm floating
in a most peculiar way
And the stars look very different today.
