gap shearling.

The Gap friends and family weekend just ended, but not before i scooped up this killer shearling denim jacket.

The jacket is still available, and gap is always having deals, so it's not too late to find one for yourself for fall.

fuggit - lounge in style.

gone are the days where your home slippers were required to ugly and childish. No longer must you warm your feet with furry dinosaurs that roar with each step, or with moccasins that are only reaching low-medium comfort levels. Uggs? No thanks! Crocs? GTFO!

Feast your eyes on the fuggit air mags:

Finally, someone found a good reason to crochet without being compared to an elderly woman surrounded by cats and grandchildren.

These things are handmade by one man, with the goal of "ending sneaker violence". What is sneaker violence, you say? No, it is not the name given to turf wars between different gangs of sneakers, but the acts of senseless violence to obtain coveted sneakers from someone else. Fuggit's plan is to "make the shoes, sell them, and take proceeds from that and buy sneakers to give away. No gimmicks, no raffles, no nothing." The aim for Fuggit is to defuse some of the coveted and limited status of popular designs that are clearly linked to the violent crimes.

Stop by Fuggit's website and pick up a pair of knit kicks. Not feeling the air mags? No worries, Fuggit also produces lines of Jordans, Yeezys, and other designs.

name that pattern pt. 3

Shepherd’s check - a twill weave of small checks/boxes (generally of white and another color). similar to gingham, the shepherd's check is distinguished by the diagonal twill weave within the checks. this pattern is named after scottish plaid that shepherd's wore while working in the hills.

windowpane check - this pattern resembles an actual window pane by its wider spacing and bold lines (hence the name). This pattern is commonly found in suits and shirts.

tweed - rough and unfinished, tweed is a closely woven wool. it can either be left plain, or twill weaved, however, when referring to the pattern, we mean the plain version. tweed is often based in two colors (white and black) with subdued color effects created by twisting in individual strands of other colors.

fall blazers.

fall is here, and fall fashion is all about layers, materials, and the right colors. When you're finally ready to graduate from hoodies and boring sweatshirts, try stepping into the world of blazers and sport coats. Add some nice jeans, a good pair of shoes/boots, and you'll look classy as fuh.

wool.

Wool is the hair of the sheep, lamb, and some goats. It is made into cloth eithe rby spinning it into yarn which is then woven or knotted, or by felting. For most outergarments today, the demand for wool is great and there is not enough to go round. Most man-made fibres blend very well with it. In this regard, there are no substitutes for wool -- only complements.

Wool.

Wool is the hair of sheep, lamb, and some goats. It is made into cloth either by spinning it into yarn, which is then woven or knitted, or by felting. The story of it's development is half history and half legend. Suffice it to say that, for most of our outer garments today, the demand for wool is great, and there is not enough to go around. A well-made wool garment can keep you warm while allowing the skin to breathe, preventing overheating. Most man-made fibers blend very well with it. In this regard, there is no substitutes for wool -- only compliments.
