y-3 sport.

the y-3 sport collection for spring/summer '17 by genius YOHJI YAMAMOTO is here, and it's dope...and it's also insanely expensive. but still dope though. but also really really really expensive.

on the bright side, if you find an extra $700+ to spend on a jacket, you can totally look like a ninja while you exercise on the side of a mountain.

in all seriousness, a majority of the line is super cool and worth checking out, if nothing else than to get ideas and inspiration.

kanye being kanye.

From Fashionista.com:

"For a typical fashion designer, New York Fashion Week prep begins months in advance, and one of the first priorities is securing a spot on the official Fashion Calendar. Now a digital platform operated by the CFDA, which works to prevent scheduling conflicts between two shows that might draw the same editors and buyers, the Fashion Calendar lists events up to six months ahead of time. Enter Kanye West, who decided to stage an over-the-top spectacle for his latest Yeezy collection and the debut of his album "Waves" (and not tell anyone about it until a week or two prior) at 4 p.m. on the first day of New York Fashion Week. This was not great news for two labels slotted to show at the same time.

Former J.Crew designer and current Banana Republic creative advisor Marissa Webb, whose show for her eponymous line was also scheduled for 4 p.m. on the 11th; and Adam Selman, a favorite of Rihanna'swhose show was scheduled for 5 p.m., both rescheduled their shows at the end of last week, after news broke of the Yeezy season 3 event.

While the element of surprise might add to the buzz and excitement surrounding West's show, it puts other designers in a tough spot. Even an established, respected brand can't expect to compete. Selman, whose shows draw a similar crowd to West's, confirmed his switch to the 6:30 p.m. slot last Thursday morning, though a rep would not confirm the reason for the scheduling change. Webb's PR team sent out an email blast on Friday evening informing recipients of an "updated show time" to 3 p.m., writing: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are 'swishing' the time of the show to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11. Sorry for making 'waves.'" Get it?

This isn't the first time West has disrupted a designer's Fashion Week plans by announcing his own show at the last minute. Last season, emerging designer Anne Bowen planned to debut her new streetwear line at what turned out to be the exact same time as West's show, and she was not afraid to speak out about the strain West's last-minute announcement put on her business, telling WWD , "We have been prepping for a year for this at considerable financial, labor and commitment-cost to our company. Our show date has been scheduled for months and has been on the Fashion Calendar for weeks... Kanye knows he is a media sensation and it is just not ethical to do this." She was forced to show on a different date, "which [was] a logistical nightmare."

Details of West's show still remain scarce, but on Monday, West tweeted a link to a sale site where fans can purchase tickets to see the event streamed live in theaters from Madison Square Garden."

So what did we learn from all this? Kanye's dropping his new album and clothing line soon. Get on board or GTFO.

adidas tubular.

adidas finally starts showing up to the game. i think they were tired of sitting on the bench and realized that they were falling behind. so what do they do? they step up with Nic Galway's absolutely banger of a shoe, the adidas tubular. these beauts are a true work of art. they are definitely on the list of this year's must have's for probably everyone. they're heavily influenced by the y-3 qasa, which is another one of favorites, and you can clearly see it by just looking at the shoe. these should come without the heavy price that y-3's usually come with which will also be nice. stay tuned for more updates which will probably be easy, all the blogs are freaking out over these and for good reason. release date keeps jumping around the end of november some time. so stay on it.

these new balance m998hl's remind you the something?

new balance dropped their made in USA m998hl's in a new color-way and let me start by saying they look good.

it has all the typical new balance design bells and whistles that show up on their shoes, like black suede uppers with a little mesh mixed in and some random accents thrown in as well. the other thing it has is the abzorb sole with a nice little splash of red which instantly makes me think of some other sneakers.

anyone else gettin' some 2014 y-3 feels from this shoe? because i sure am. not sure what i'm talking about? then let me show you.

i immediately thought of yohji's qasa racer's. they've got a similar shape and more importantly the red accent on the sole.

i don't blame new balance for rippin' the racer's, they're dope ass shoes, but it’s such a blatant rip. most people won’t notice because Adidas’ y-3 line isn’t as big in main stream, everyday fashion, but anyone who goes on hype or snob will notice it.

what do you guys think? do you like the new balance's? do you care they straight jacked the y-3 qasa racer red? lemme know.

y-3 qasa high 'all black'.

my sneaker lust continues with the latest from y-3.

these all black qasa high's are exactly what i would want from a sneaker. it's all black, unique as hell looking and created by yohji yamamoto.

i had to post these and share my want for them. they make me think this is what a modern day ninja would wear and who doesn't want to be a ninja? i mean, come on? you know you do and here is your opportunity.

you add these to your sneaker collection soon, not out yet, but i'll be letting you guys know when they are.
